In 2025, talented local artist and Launceston u3a Vice Chair, Angie Harris, kindly gifted her painting featuring silhouettes of Launceston landmarks to the Town Hall. These historic landmarks include the: ‘Nearly Home’ trees, Southgate Arch, Castle, War Memorial, and Steam Railway. Now, these iconic places which have become well-known to local residents, have been produced by the artist on beautiful souvenir mugs, and are currently available at the Tourist Information Centre, White Hart Arcade, Launceston.
