Launceston & District u3a holds regular meetings - with plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits on offer and, occasionally, cake too - on the last Friday of each month (except December) at the Central Methodist Church Hall in Castle Street, Launceston. The u3a has a variety of interest groups, catering to a wide range of interests and hobbies including languages, academic studies, art, games, walking, table tennis and much more. With no minimum age, joining the u3a is a great way to socialise, develop interests and keep active in mind and body.

Potential new members are very welcome to come along to any monthly meeting to see what it is all about, without any obligation (apart from a donation towards the coffee/tea and biscuits). But the event could be a bit intimidating for a newcomer, so if you’re thinking of attending, it’s a good idea to contact us by email through the Contact page or Telephone 0300 102 1380. Telephone numbers for the Committee, Group Leaders and other contacts can be found in the Network Newsletter distributed to members beforehand. Then we can arrange to meet and introduce you to the organisers of any interest groups you might like to know about.

Like many other u3a's, Launceston engages interesting Speakers at these meetings throughout the year. Monthly Meetings (Coffee Mornings) are an opportunity to meet and get to know one another, and learn about group and branch activities. Please see the Events page for latest information.

For those of you online who use social media, a closed Facebook group called (Launceston u3a (Members Only) has been created. Any member of Launceston u3a is welcome to join. Login to Facebook, find the group Launcestonu3a and click Join.

There is also a Facebook Public Page where posts can be created showing the activities Interest Groups undertake.
